English: Develop reading comprehension basics and advanced techniques during class. In-depth analysis of different text types will allow students to master difficult reading passages.
Mathematics: Weekly topics following a specially designed accelerated syllabus focusing on problem solving and mathematical theory application. There will be a mathematics quiz in class every week.
Thinking Skills: Our updated materials will have a combination of general ability and thinking skills, focusing on logical problem solving. Students will learn to identify different question types and apply various techniques to solve them.
Vocabulary Quiz: 15 new words weekly accumulating to over 900 new words by the OC exam.

All our teachers are familiar with the new format of the OC Placement Test and understand the difficulties and challenges faced by students preparing for the test.
Course Structure
Students will sit a complete OC Exam (100 Questions over 3 papers) – Mathematics, Reading and Thinking Skills. The papers are developed based off the most recent OC exams, with a large variety of question types to give students a broad exposure to different questions.
All questions will be explained and exam techniques specific for the OC Exam will be covered in the same lesson. Students can expect to bring home an exam breakdown with their scores, average marks and ranking.
Over a four hour lesson, Y4 students will sit a three part OC exam, receive complete detailed explanation of every question and learn key techniques for solving such question types. The OC exam material is developed by a team of teachers based from an analysis of the new Cambridge OC papers as well as real past papers and updated yearly according to student feedback. These exams will simulate the difficulty and style of the OC exams. Students will learn exam techniques specific for the OC exam, gain invaluable examination experience and learn the different styles of questions that commonly appear in the OC exams.
